Drop Sugar Cookies

Drop Sugar Cookies


1 cup butter, softened 
2 cups sugar 
2 large eggs 
3 ½ cups flour  
1 teaspoon baking soda 
1/2 teaspoon salt 
2 teaspoon baking powder 
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. With an electric mixer, cream butter, sugar and eggs. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder together. Alternate adding dry ingredients and sour cream to the wet mixture. Add vanilla.

3. Using a spoon, drop cookie batter on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool, and then frost with your favorite icing.
