Bronx Kids Get Free Summer Meals with Dairy

New York Yankees Manager Aaron Boone participated in the Bronx Summer Meals event this week, supporting ADA North East and other local anti-hunger organizations. Because only one in 10 children who are eligible for free summer meals actually receive them, more than 19 million children are unserved. At the event, ADA North East offered the first 100 kids who received a lunch a voucher for two Yankees game tickets.

To further encourage more participation in the program, ADA North East is offering either Yankees game tickets or Yankees merchandise to the first 50 kids who get lunch at these select meal sites

Another incentive is everyone who shares Boone’s Summer Meals public service announcement using the hashtag #FREEMEALS311 will be entered into a random weekly drawing in August to receive a Yankees jersey autographed by Boone.
