Local dairy farmers shared dairy messages in Washington, D.C., as part of the “Real Love Convoy,” the national traveling campaign and partnership with Undeniably Dairy and Feeding America to rally consumers across the country to help get milk and other nutritious foods to families who need it. The campaign encourages donations of milk to fight childhood hunger by visiting www.giveagallon.com.
Amanda Biddle and daughter Emma, from Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, and Jenny Malott and daughters Addison and Jillian from Smithsburg, Maryland, participated in the event, helping consumers make the connection between their food and the farmers who provide it.
The convoy includes a food truck that will serve kids dairy snacks, and an interactive school bus outfitted with fun activities to show where dairy comes from and to teach good nutrition.
