Dairying for Tomorrow Award Winners Recognized at New York State Fair

Dairying for Tomorrow (DFT) award winners were recognized during the Dairy Day breakfast at New York State Fair. National Dairy Council and ADA North East board member and dairy farmer Audrey Donahoe of Clayville, N.Y., presented the awards. 

Overall Winner, Community Outreach

King Brothers Dairy of Schuylerville, N.Y., was named the overall community outreach winner and Jan King and wife Pandora Davis were on hand to receive the award. The awards are designed to recognize dairy farmers who are committed to moving the dairy industry into the future.  

Honorable Mention, Animal Care

Honorable mention winners in the DFT animal care category, Abbie and Andrew Evans of A Joy Swiss, Athens, Pa., were also recognized during the breakfast, along with the announcement for Wagner Farms, Poestenkill, N.Y., the honorable mention environmental stewardship award winner that was not in attendance.
