Dairy farmers have until March 31 to apply for the 2019 Dairying for Tomorrow Awards.
The awards recognize farmers’ production practices that will help sustain the dairy industry now and into the future. Awards will be given in three categories; animal care, community outreach and environmental stewardship.
Winners and honorable mention winners will be selected in each category and will receive an on-farm photo shoot which will be made available to the winners and will be used by ADA North East in social media campaigns and educational projects.
Additionally, top winners in each category will receive a donation of $1,000 in their name to one of two ADA North East retail or school initiatives, which drive dairy sales and develop young consumers’ enjoyment of dairy.
