On Saturday, April 17, several New York dairy farmers joined ADA North East, local fire and rescue first responders and other local community organizations to provide 700 boxes of milk, dairy products and other food to local families in Madrid, N.Y., through the Farmers to Families Food Box program with USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) government-funded grants.

Dairy farmers will be volunteering at additional milk and food drives slated for this week including ShoppingTown Mall in Dewitt, N.Y., and at Penn State University in State College, Pa. Stay tuned for photos and details in the next Checkoff Check-In.

Dairy farmers, ADA North East and other community groups have helped distribute more than 900,000 gallons of milk via more than 200 drive-through and drop-off events throughout the region since April 2020.
