The charitable fresh-milk campaign initiated by Pennsylvania dairy farmers – Fill a Glass with Hope® - that provides milk at reduced costs to local food banks has crossed state lines into New York. During the month of June, shoppers at Price Chopper stores can make a donation to the campaign at checkout that will be distributed to food banks. The retailer will also match up to $10,000 to donate to the cause.
New York State Dairy Princess Reegan Domagala joined New York Agriculture Commissioner Richard Ball, former New York Jets player and dairy advocate Tony Richardson, and representatives from Price Chopper and the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York to participate in the celebration.
