New York Retailers Promoting Local Families in Farm-to-Table Campaign

As the pandemic rolls on and consumers are even more concerned with purchasing locally-produced products, ADA North East continues to work with retailers to incorporate the Farm-to-Table campaign, ensuring that shoppers know their milk is produced by New York dairy farmers.

As part of ADA North East’s Dairy Aisle Reinvention program that gives the dairy case a “makeover” to maximize retail merchandise techniques that increase dairy sales, the Farm-to-Table campaign features local families with photos and signage strategically placed on the dairy cases.

This year, 330 Stewarts Shops received new signage that includes three New York dairy families. In Saratoga County look for Koval Brothers Dairy from Stillwater; in Rensselaer County Elm-Spring Farm from Eagle Bridge; and in Washington County Durkee Farm from Fort Ann.

Crossbrook Farms in Middleburgh is featured in six Foodtown stores and will soon be featured in 35 Gristedes and D’Agostino stores in Manhattan.

Other stores that have received a Dairy Aisle Reinvention include ShopRite, Acme, Key Food, Weis, Hannaford, Foodtown, Tops, P&C Fresh and other independent stores.

Each installment also includes customized signage to highlighting real dairy and nutrition and product use ideas. Retailers report significant sales growth after implementing this marketing program.
