Reinventing the Retail Dairy Case Leads to Increased Sales

ADA North East’s 2019 Dairy Aisle Reinvention program is helping to drive dairy sales in retail stores throughout the region.

Year-to-date highlights for 2019 include: 

  • New signage and displays to feature real dairy items in 235 stores
  • Farm-to-table signs featuring local dairy farmers in 237 stores
  • Cheese have been installed in 194 new stores 
  • Yogurt dividers have been installed in 752 stores

Retailers typically see a 7 to 10 percent increase in sales following a new installation of signage and displays. Because cheese pushers and yogurt dividers keep product organized and close to the front of the case, space for the dairy items is expanded. Every foot of increased space equals $4,000 boost in annual sales.
