Dairy’s Role in Healthy Pregnancies Spotlighted

During Black Maternal Health Week, beginning April 11, ADA North East helped advance the conversation around maternal health disparities with a positive, solutions-oriented message: the role of nutrition, particularly dairy, in supporting healthy birth outcomes. Expert nutritionists appeared on WPIX-TV NYC, WUSA-TV (CBS) Washington, D.C., WMAR-TV (ABC) Baltimore, PHL 17-TV Philadelphia, WIVB-TV (CBS) Buffalo and WSYR-TV (ABC) Syracuse to highlight the essential nutrients in milk and dairy that support healthy pregnancies. WPIX also featured ADA North East’s Nurture and Nourish pregnancy recipe series, showcasing dairy-rich recipes such as Papaya Smoothies, Protein-Rich Cottage Cheese Toast and Banana Pudding Dip.

Dairy Ambassador Story Generates $88K in Ad Value

ADA North East pitched a story to Spectrum News (New York) featuring new dairy ambassador Christiana Borst, resulting in a compelling segment, The Many Moving Parts of Managing a Dairy Farm. The story spotlighted a modern, family-run New York dairy farm and showcased how today’s farmers blend tradition, expert support and advanced technology to deliver exceptional animal care and high-quality milk. The feature aired 49 times statewide, generating 575,000+ impressions and $88,000 in advertising value.

Students, Chefs Team Up to Promote Dairy at Taste of the Draft

ADA North East’s participation in Taste of the Draft was featured in the Observer-Reporter, highlighting how local culinary students gained hands-on experience working alongside top chefs during the April 22 event in downtown Pittsburgh. Through a partnership with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation ProStart program, ADA North East helped connect students from career and technical schools with culinary professionals while showcasing dairy in recipe development. The event, held during NFL Draft week, also supported efforts to help address student hunger through GENYOUth.

Refuel with Chocolate Milk Athlete Awards

Student-athletes nominated for the second annual Refuel with Chocolate Milk Athlete of the Year awards were featured in Maryland’s The Sentinel, helping to spotlight local athletes recognized for excellence both on and off the field. The awards program celebrates high school athletes who demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and strong performance in competition while promoting chocolate milk as a recovery beverage. Public voting generated more than 17,000 votes and counting before closing on May 10.
