ADA North East President Audrey Donahoe of Clayville, N.Y., and board member Terry Ives of Banbridge, N.Y., promoted the Fill a Glass with Hope® campaign occuring in 133 Price Chopper stores during National Dairy Month. The charitable campaign helps local food banks purchase milk to distribute to families who need and want it.

Donahoe participated in a Q&A session on the retailer’s Facebook page that drew questions and comments from consumers that Donahoe answered in real time. Ives was interviewed live in a Price Chopper store in Binghamton to discuss the program’s role in getting milk to families in need through local food banks.

Since the partnership with Price Chopper began, more than $170,000 has been raised, resulting in more than 35,000 gallons of fresh, highly-requested milk being donated to local food banks on behalf of the retailer.

“Milk and dairy products are a very nutritient-rich product and that’s why we support this program – to have a better fed community.” – Terry Ives
