Milk recently took to the mats at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) high school wrestling and gymnastics championships — helping fuel hundreds of athletes to reach peak performance and reminding nearly 15,000 spectators of the many nutritional benefits of consuming milk.

Through the “Refuel with Chocolate Milkâ€_x009d_ campaign, ADA North East communicates year-round with nearly 15,000 high school coaches and athletic directors to reinforce the message that chocolate milk, with eight grams of high-quality protein in each eight-ounce serving, provides the protein athletes need to help repair and rebuild muscles after strenuous exercise.

Athletes who competed in the wrestling championships refueled with 500 chocolate milks provided by Stewart’s Shops. Cream-O-Land Dairy provided 150 chocolate milks to the gymnasts competing in the gymnastics championships. The NYSPHSAA boys basketball championships are set for this weekend in Glen Falls, N.Y.

In 2019, ADA North East sponsored 120 high school state championships region-wide where 36,610 athletes refueled with chocolate milk — to remind them it is the ideal post-workout drink to recharge tired muscles.
