Wednesday, Penn State agriculture students Caroline Arrowsmith of Hillacres Jerseys in Peach Bottom, Pa., Allie Snider of Snider Homestead Farm in New Enterprise, Pa., and Pennsylvania Dairy Princess Gabrielle Swavely, joined ADA North East and several local community groups to help distribute milk and dairy foods to local families in the State College, Pa., area. Nearly 1,300 food boxes, each containing one gallon of milk, along with an assortment of dairy foods, produce and meat were distributed through the Farmers to Families Food Box program with USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) government-funded grants.

Joel Riehlman of Venture Farms, Fabius, N.Y., and Oneida County Dairy Princess Alyssa Buck, volunteered at a milk drive on Tuesday in DeWitt, N.Y., where they helped distribute more than 1,000 boxes of food and milk also provided through the Farmers to Families Food Box program.

Riehlman spoke on behalf of dairy farmers in media interviews on WWTI in Watertown and WSYR in Syracuse, and an iHeartRadio podcast with “Syracuse’s Morning News with Dave Allen!”
