2023 Butter Sculpture
Pennsylvania Dairy: Rooted in Progress for Generations to Come
Talented artists Jim Victor and Marie Pelton spent several weeks to construct the butter sculpture, using more than 1,000 pounds of butter donated by Land O’ Lakes in Carlisle, Cumberland County.

“Pennsylvania Dairy: Rooted in Progress for Generations to Come” is the theme of the 2023 PA Farm Show Butter Sculpture, which showcases the importance of the dairy industry’s traditions and its focus on sustainability. The sculpture depicts several generations of a dairy farming family, enjoying moments and celebrating how they work together to produce wholesome food for their community in a sustainable way. Fill a Glass with Hope
Fill a Glass with Hope® is a partnership formed among American Dairy Association North East, the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association and Feeding Pennsylvania and it’s member food banks, that raises funds to enable food banks to purchase fresh milk directly from their local dairies in order to distribute it to families in need.
Thanks to generous supporters, the program has distributed more than 21 million servings of fresh milk since inception through the charitable food network of pantries, soup kitchen, shelters, and feeding programs.
The 2023 Fill a Glass with Hope® campaign kicked off on Friday, January 7, 2023 as the Pennsylvania Farm Show opened and raised a record of $201,000 in donations.
