Each day in June, the environmental efforts from a different farm in the ADA North East region will be featured on our social media channels. The campaign is an effort to educate and expose consumers to the variety of ways farms work to produce dairy in an environmentally responsible manner. Six of the farms will be amplified by Price Chopper using its social media outlets.
The first farm featured was Patterson Farms, Inc., in Auburn, N.Y., that uses conservation practices like no-till and diverse cover crops to keep soil in the fields and out of local waterways.

Dairy farmers value the environment and work to leave the land in better shape than before. Award-winning Patterson Farms, Inc. uses practices such as no-till and diverse cover crops to keep soil in the fields and out of waterways. They take great care of their fields, using nutrients from cow manure according to soil conditions and needs of the growing crop, like the corn shown here. #NationalDairyMonth #sustainability #soilhealth #notill #covercrops
