Placing dairy in secondary locations in the grocery store — like cheese in the meat or produce departments, yogurt and whipped cream with berries and fruit, butter in the seafood section or milk in grab-and-go coolers — can boost dairy sales up to 7 percent.
ADA North East’s retail team helped secure more than 1,400 secondary placements of dairy products in 500 stores last year. The effort is part of our Dairy Aisle Performance Program (DAPP) that has proven to help retailers sell more milk and dairy products.
In addition to the secondary placements, DAPP includes helping retailers keep dairy cases clean, cold and well stocked and secures proper space allocation for dairy products.
