Sent on behalf of Barb O’Brien:

GENYOUth, founded by America’s dairy farmers to improve nutrition and physical activity in U.S. schools through public and private partnerships, has been named the official charitable partner of the Taste of the NFL (TNFL) for the second year in a row. TNFL is the largest purpose-driven event at the Super Bowl, bringing together exceptional cuisine (including dairy), prominent chefs, food influencers, NFL players, coaches, legends and fresh ideas, all with the goal of tackling hunger. Proceeds from the TNFL go to GENYOUth’s End Student Hunger Fund to increase access to school meals, including milk and dairy, in all 32 club markets.

Since the pandemic began, GENYOUth has raised more than $13 million and provided grants to 10,000+ schools to help purchase the equipment needed to deliver school meals, providing support to serve 321 million pounds of milk in the 2021 school year.

The Taste of the NFL event is entirely funded by other people’s money and provides a platform that extends farmer priorities of hunger and in-school nutrition. If farmers have questions about this event, attached please find messaging that answers relevant information, including information on sponsors and BOD members.

The Taste of the NFL in-person event on February 12th will whet the appetites of event ticketholders with a variety of delectable dishes – many of which feature dairy.

The Taste of the NFL @ Home, hosted by GENYOUth, will air on the NFL Network on Super Bowl Sunday, February 13th, at 5:30 EST.

The most critical part of the Taste of the NFL event is the impact it has on the nutritional security of children and the support that is provided to school meal programs.  As part of the lead-up to Super Bowl weekend, with funding from Frito-Lay, GENYOUth is awarding $250,000 to support “Kool Kitchens” transformations to improve the cafeteria experience in five high schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District (the second largest school district in the nation). These cafeteria makeovers include bright and attractive wall colors, FUTP 60 wall graphics, and the installation of equipment to transform school cafeterias into inviting places for thousands of students. The grants include support for a NEW smoothie program within each of the schools to help increase dairy consumption.

If you have a social media presence, please help us raise awareness of the event and opportunities to purchase tickets.

If you are able to help promote the event, below please find a few sample posts that can be customized, or simply follow GENYOUth’s social channels.
