Milk recently took to the courts and the mats at several high school winter sports championships — helping fuel hundreds of athletes to reach peak performance and reminding nearly 15,000 spectators of the many nutritional benefits of consuming milk.
In Washington, D.C., ADA North East was the presenting sponsor of the District of Columbia Interscholastic Athletic Association (DCIAA) basketball semi-final and championship tournament. Using the “Pour to Score, Milk Fuels Champions!â€_x009d_ campaign, 180 athletes were reminded of the power of protein found in milk to help reach top performance.
The sponsorship included branding opportunities like court decals, court-side signage, digital messaging, website banner, program ads, fan t-shirts and public service announcements touting the “Pour to Scoreâ€_x009d_ campaign.
Through the “Refuel with Chocolate Milkâ€_x009d_ campaign, ADA North East communicates year-round with nearly 15,000 high school coaches and athletic directors to reinforce the message that chocolate milk, with eight grams of high-quality protein in each eight-ounce serving, provides the protein athletes need to help repair and rebuild muscles after strenuous exercise. Athletes who competed in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) wrestling championships recently refueled with 500 chocolate milks provided by Stewart’s Shops. Cream-O-Land Dairy provided 150 chocolate milks to the gymnasts competing in the gymnastics championships. Other state championships in the ADA North East territory are upcoming where milk will also have a presence.
In 2019, ADA North East sponsored 120 high school state championships region-wide where 36,610 athletes refueled with chocolate milk — to remind them it is the ideal post-workout drink to recharge tired muscles.
