American Dairy Association North East has helped coordinate logistics, communications and distribution of more than 62,000 gallons of milk to New York families as of April 30, donated by Dairy Farmers of America. The need for food assistance is drastically increasing and the dairy industry is ramping up efforts to help get milk to families in need.
This week’s New York distribution includes Salvation Army and the Oneida Boards of Cooperative Educational Services receiving 8,262 gallons, and 12,000 gallons are going to Hall, Richmond and Sandy Creek, N.Y.
