From late March through mid-May, national retail dairy sales are 25 percent higher than one year ago, according to National Milk Producers Federation. During that same time period, overall grocery sales are only up by 14 percent, showing that dairy sales outpace total grocery sales as consumers turn to traditional nutritional foods during times of uncertainty.

Locally during the same timeframe, ADA North East’s retail team continued helping grocery stores fill dairy cases with milk, cheese and yogurt because consumers’ demand for dairy remains consistently high. To date, we have stocked 124,262 dairy products in more than 700 stores.

  • Milk: 93,242 units
  • Cheese: 13,932 units
  • Yogurt: 17,088 units
  • Total: 124,262
