ADA North East and dairy farmer Mary Stewart hosted the “Cultivating Connections from Farm to School Summit” for school food-service decision-makers at Fawn View Manor Farm, Pylesville, Md. More than 75 attendees gathered to strengthen partnerships, elevate dairy’s visibility in farm to school efforts, and reinforce ADA North East’s leadership in promoting nutritious, locally sourced dairy foods in schools.

Educational sessions, a farm tour, and a locally sourced lunch featuring the debut of ADA North East’s Frozen Hot Chocolate Milk pilot showcased how dairy connects the cafeteria, classroom, and community.

ADA North East CEO John Chrisman, Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program Chair Lolly Lesher, Maryland Agriculture Secretary Kevin Atticks and Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding advocated for farm to school options.
