American Dairy Association North East (ADANE) is a nonprofit organization that builds demand for dairy and supports dairy farmers through integrated marketing, communications, nutrition, and partnership programs across the Northeast.

We are seeking a creative, curious, and data-informed Content Marketing Specialist to join our Integrated Marketing Communications team. This role helps plan, create, execute, measure, and optimize digital content and campaigns across social media, paid digital media, search, email, and emerging platforms.

Working with colleagues across ADANE, as well as agencies, influencers, vendors, and partners, the Content Marketing Specialist combines strong storytelling and execution with audience insights, analytics, and technology to strengthen engagement and improve results.

Position Salary Range – $58, 000 – $62,000 Annually

This range reflects ADANE’s good-faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. The final offer will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage social media editorial calendars aligned with campaigns, programs, events, and relevant cultural moments.
  • Create, edit, schedule, and publish engaging digital and social media content tailored to different audiences and platforms.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, agencies, influencers, and creative partners to develop compelling content and integrated campaigns.
  • Build, manage, and optimize paid social media and paid search campaigns, including audience targeting, budgets, keyword strategy, creative performance, and results.
  • Support email marketing initiatives, including content development, audience segmentation, testing, distribution, and performance reporting.
  • Monitor social conversations, trends, audience sentiment, and emerging issues to identify content opportunities and potential reputational concerns.
  • Analyze performance across digital channels and translate data into insights and recommendations that improve future content and campaigns.
  • Support digital and social media coverage of events, partnerships, activations, and organizational initiatives.
  • Stay current with digital platforms, audience behaviors, accessibility practices, marketing technologies, and the appropriate use of AI, automation, and emerging tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in digital marketing, social media, content marketing, digital communications, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing and managing organic and paid social media content and campaigns.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, digital storytelling, organizational, and project-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of paid search, digital advertising, audience targeting, social listening, email marketing, and digital analytics.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and audience insights and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while collaborating effectively with internal and external partners.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Digital design or graphic creation, photography, video editing, or multimedia content-production tools.
  • SEO, website analytics, audience segmentation, and digital accessibility.
  • AI, automation, and emerging marketing technologies.
  • Experience working with agencies, vendors, influencers, or creative partners.

Location and Travel

This position is home-based within the American Dairy Association North East service region, subject to organizational policies and business needs. Travel within the region is required as needed for meetings, events, activations, and content development. Occasional overnight, evening, and weekend work may be required. A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet organizational driving requirements are required when automobile travel is necessary.
