This November, local dairy farmer Tyler Beck is taking on 26.2 miles of the New York City Marathon with one powerful goal: raising money to help provide fresh milk to families in need through local food pantries across New York.
American Dairy Association North East is partnering with Feeding New York State on Tyler’s mission to raise $1,000 for every mile of the marathon, helping ensure children and families have access to nutritious dairy foods during challenging times.
Meet Tyler
Tyler Beck is a New York dairy farmer dedicated to caring for his cows, his community and the families who rely on local agriculture every day. Through long hours on the farm and now months of marathon training, Tyler is going the extra mile — literally — to help fight hunger in New York communities.
By combining his passion for farming with his commitment to giving back, Tyler hopes to inspire others to support local families while highlighting the important role dairy farmers play in nourishing communities.
Why Milk Matters

Milk is one of the most requested items at food pantries, yet one of the least donated because it is perishable. Families facing food insecurity often miss out on essential nutrients like protein, calcium and vitamin D that dairy milk provides.
Every dollar donated helps Feeding New York State and local food pantries deliver fresh, wholesome milk to neighbors in need.
