Bronx School Receives Cafeteria Dairy Makeover, Launches FUTP60 Program

ADA North East partnered with the New York Jets to support a cafeteria makeover as part of our school breakfast programs at the Morris Educational Campus school in the Bronx, N.Y. The changes will create an example of a “cafeteria of the future,” where students will have access to nutritious dairy-centric foods like yogurt parfaits, cheese sticks and milk options on school menus, while enhancing their overall dining experience.

The school is also launching an in-school Fuel Up to Play 60 program with 40 students to encourage healthy eating with dairy and at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day, along with a scratch cooking program to incorporate healthier foods in made-from-scratch school meals.

Dairy farmer Kelsey O’Shea from Mapleview Dairy, Madrid, N.Y., and former New York Jets player Tony Richardson joined in the cafeteria ribbon cutting ceremony.
