Cassidy Hunt of West Amwell, Hunterdon County, was named the 60th New Jersey State Dairy Princess, and Samantha Wiley of Hillsborough, Somerset County was chosen as Alternate New Jersey Dairy Princess in a ceremony health on Saturday, November 23, in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Hunt succeeds Kimberly Kolibas of Belvidere, Warren County, who held the title from 2023-2024.
The daughter of Tammy and Paul Hunt, the new state princess is a freshman at Delaware Valley University majoring in dairy science. She breeds and raises Guernsey cattle under the Hun-Col Guernsey prefix, and exhibits at the local, state and national levels. Hunt also is a volunteer firefighter for the West Amwell Fire Company.
“I’m looking forward to sharing with consumers how important dairy farmers are to them and how food gets from the farm to them,” said Hunt.
Wiley is the granddaughter of Mark and Nancy Kirby and is a junior at Hillsborough High Schools where she plays soccer and lacrosse. She exhibits dairy cattle through 4-H and is a member of dairy quiz bowl team competing at county, state and national levels.
The New Jersey Dairy Princess program is managed by ADA North East, who also manages the New York Dairy Ambassador program, and supports the programs in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia by providing funding, training and promotional resources.
