Summer Meals Kicks Off
ADA North East promoted our Summer Meals Kickoff Events to media outlets in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and in Washington, D.C.
Philadelphia – June 23
The City of Philadelphia Summer Meals Kickoff was a tremendous success as our staff represented ADA North East alongside dairy farmer Harrison Hartman of Scattered Acres Farm, former Philadelphia Eagle Rodney McLeod, Jr., Eagles mascot Swoop, and Eagles Cheerleaders. During the program, Mayor Cherelle Parker recognized Harrison from the stage, highlighting the important role local dairy farmers play in supplying the milk served in Philadelphia schools and summer meal programs. McLeod, Jr. and Harrison also spoke during the press event, emphasizing the importance of milk and dairy in helping children stay healthy and nourished throughout the summer. The event has already generated seven media placements including stories on Philadelphia’s WPVI-TV (ABC) , WCAU-TV (NBC) and WTXF-TV (FOX) , reaching an audience of 551,988 with a publicity value of $75,856, significantly expanding awareness of both the Summer Meals Program and ADA North East’s message about the role of dairy in child nutrition.
Pittsburgh – June 16
Media turnout was strong for the Summer Meals event in Pittsburgh, with coverage appearing multiple times on Pittsburgh outlets KDKA-TV (CBS), WTAE-TV (ABC) and WPGH-TV (FOX).
Washington, D.C. – June 3
The Summer Meals event at Bladensburg Elementary School with the Washington Mystics generated 47 media stories, reaching 6.1 million consumers with an ad value of $579,790. Media coverage included Washington, D.C., outlets WRC-TV (NBC), DC, WTTG-TV (FOX), and WTOP-FM (CBS) Radio, and were also shared as web stories by the media.

Fill A Glass With Hope® (FGWH) Campaigns Underway
Weis Markets
The FGWH kickoff event at Weis Markets in Linglestown, Pa., on June 4, generated strong media coverage, resulting in 26 earned media stories that reached more than 500,000 consumers. Coverage included multiple broadcasts on WPMT-TV (FOX) Harrisburg, WNEP -TV (ABC) Wilkes Barre, and print and online stories that amplified awareness of the campaign and its impact on local families.

Market 32/Price Chopper
The ADA North East press release distributed for the FGWH campaign with Market 32/Price Chopper resulted in stories on Cortland Standard, the Daily Star in Oneonta, and the Cooperstown Crier. WHXC Radio in Cortland and the story on WRVO Radio Central NY featured ADA North East Board President Audrey Donahoe.
Dairy farmer Jed Barnes and a representative from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier appeared on WBNG-TV (CBS) Binghamton to talk about the campaign with Market 32/Price Chopper.

National Cheese Day Media Promotions Sees Ad-Value of Over $92K
Our media materials promoting National Cheese Day, observed on June 4, resulted in 74 stories, reaching 796,453 consumers with an ad value of $92,934. Highlights can be viewed here: WTXF-TV (FOX) Philadelphia, WTEN-TV (ABC) Albany, WPXI-TV (NBC) Pittsburgh, WROC-TV (CBS) Rochester and Spectrum News New York. Early coverage leading up to the day included segments on WUTR TV ABC Utica and News 12 TV Westchester, helping build excitement around National Cheese Day and consumer interest in cheese.

Dairy Protein Media Tour with Spokesperson Toby Amidor
The Protein Media Tour featuring spokesperson Toby Amidor kicked off on June 8 with a segment on WPIX-TV in New York City. The tour continued in Washington, DC, and concluded in Philadelphia with a media segment aired on Positively Philly. The tour highlighted the importance of protein-rich foods and promoted Amidor’s new Healthy Living High-Protein Cookbook. During the segment, Amidor spotlighted dairy as a high-quality protein source and referred to cottage cheese as the “unsung hero” of protein foods, reinforcing dairy’s role in helping consumers meet their protein goals.

Refuel With Chocolate Milk Athletes Gets More Media Coverage
More news coverage on the Refuel With Chocolate Milk Athletes was featured in the Prince George’s Post with a story about Brooklyn Little of Elizabeth Seton High School of Bladensburg, Md. Five more news stories on Refuel With Chocolate Milk Athlete Owen Proskin appeared in Pittsburgh area news outlets including the Tribune Review and Tribune Review’s High School Sports Network website.

Adopt A Cow Calf Visited by Elementary Students
Spectrum News aired a strong story about the Adopt a Cow program across four Upstate New York markets: Albany, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. The story, which featured Fouts Farm in Cortland, aired 23 times and was also published online in those markets, as well as in Watertown, Binghamton and the Hudson Valley. In total, the coverage generated 99 placements, 685,000 impressions and $98,000 in ad value.
