ADA North East hosted its annual Big 50 School Nutrition Forum: Recipes for Success last week, welcoming school nutrition professionals and several students from the region’s largest school districts by enrollment, along with several influential smaller districts.

The forum’s focus was to uncover strategies to recruit, engage, and retain students and staff to boost school meal participation, which helps increase dairy sales.

Celebrity chef John Ashton and celebrity dietitian and nutritionist Keri Glassman worked together to share the nutrient benefits of incorporating plants and dairy (showing how they are “better together”) on their menus. Students and school nutrition professionals sampled and shared feedback on the recipes for inclusion in their school menus.

Master Mindset Leader Frank Kitchen shared techniques on how to build an inclusive environment with students and staff.

Held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, attendees were greeted by former Eagles player and dairy advocate Jason Avant and Eagles mascot, Swoop.
