As part of American Dairy Association North East’s Refuel with Chocolate Milk campaign with New York City’s indoor track, The Armory, more than 500 children and their families learned about dairy farming during its annual Uptown Games.

Cody Williams of Wil-Roc Farms, Kinderhook, N.Y., brought a five-day-old Holstein calf to help the kids connect with dairy. They refueled with chocolate milk after participating in track and field events, and watched the calf refuel with her milk after running around the track!

The purpose of the event is to give local children a safe environment to celebrate Halloween while fostering a sense of community and physical wellness among kids. ADA North East supports the program to encourage physical activity and eating healthy with dairy.
