Track fans will vote for the Refuel with Chocolate Milk Athletes of the Year.
NEW YORK (August 14, 2025) – The Armory Foundation today announced the renewal of its partnership with American Dairy Association North East (ADA North East) and New York dairy farmers. A valued partner since the 2021–22 indoor track and field season, ADA North East will continue its naming rights to the track-level café—stocked with locally sourced chocolate milk—and remain the title sponsor of the Refuel with Chocolate Milk Officials’ Hall of Fame Invitational, among other initiatives.
As part of the renewed collaboration, the Refuel with Chocolate Milk Athletes of the Year will return for the second year. The Armory will select one standout performer each month, from December to March, in the Sprints, Distance, and Field Event categories. At the conclusion of the indoor track season, track fans will vote for their favorite top performer, three boys and three girls, in each division to win the title. Standout performances from 2025 included Jayden Horton-
Mims running a US No. 1 time in the Boys’ 300m, Bethlehem Central High School doing the same in the Girls’ Distance Medley Relay, and Alex Pelov, Ruby Schwelm, and Katie Payne each securing their spots in the Nike Invitational Mile at the legendary Millrose Games. Athletes who received this prestigious honor in 2025 included shot put sensation Jessica Oji, national champion Elise Cooper, and local favorite Wyatt Gravier.
“We’re proud to support the incredible athletes and community at The Armory. Just as dairy fuels strong bodies, our partnership fuels opportunities for young people to chase their dreams on and off the track,” said Audrey Donahoe, Board President of American Dairy Association North East. “This sponsorship reflects our shared commitment to health, performance, and building a strong future together.”
“We are thrilled to welcome the American Dairy Association North East back to The Armory,” said Armory Co-Presidents Rita Finkel and Jonathan Schindel. “ADA North East is a valued partner who fuels our athletes on and off the track.”
ADA North East will once again be the title sponsor for the Refuel with Chocolate Milk Officials’ Hall of Fame Invitational. One of the largest high school track and field events in the nation, last year’s meet saw nearly 5,100 athletes compete over two days at The Armory. ADA Northeast will again extend its partnership to the Uptown Games, The Armory’s annual Halloween event for the Northern Manhattan community, in which 500 young children take part in this frightfully
fun day of games on the track. ADA North East will provide chocolate milk to all participants and will bring a live calf for children to meet and take photographs with. Last year’s calf, affectionately named ‘Moo-ana,’ ran the 55-meter dash down the center of the track, setting an unofficial bovine record of 34 seconds.

About American Dairy Association North East
On behalf of the nearly 8,300 dairy farmers in the Northeast, ADANE wants to help raise awareness of who farmers are, and how they raise the animals that produce milk. ADANE aims to promote dairy farmers who are good stewards of their land, and who always have their eyes on the future of our shared
resources. Milk contains 13 essential nutrients, playing an important role in a healthy lifestyle as the original sports drink. ADANE supports schools throughout the region by championing access to the breakfast, lunch, and dinner that children need to fuel good health and 60 minutes of play every day.
Through programs in schools with registered dieticians and health professionals, retail programs,
consumer initiatives, and more, ADANE works to make sure that everyone knows the essential role that
dairy plays in a healthy, sustainable, and delicious life.
