ROCHESTER, N.Y. (December 15, 2025) – Families are invited to step into a “Winter Wonderland” when American Dairy Association North East’s winter farm pop-up returns to The Strong National Museum of Play on Saturday, December 20.

This year’s immersive experience, “Chill Out with Dairy,” builds on last year’s “Winter on the Farm” theme with expanded dairy-powered nutrition education woven into the beloved farm setting.

Inside the dairy-themed play space, children can explore make-believe kitchens, interactive games, and coloring activities that highlight the benefits of dairy foods – like milk, cheese and yogurt – and how they help fuel strong bodies and minds all winter long. Kids can also step into the role of a dairy farmer through imaginative play – feeding and caring for plush calves, dressing up as veterinarians, and driving play tractors throughout the exhibit. A 16-foot inflatable dairy cow named Bertha will greet families in the Adams Atrium for fun photo opportunities, and lactose-free Cabot Cheese samples will be available at select times each day.

“Winter break is the perfect time to help kids discover how dairy foods provide the essential nutrients they need to stay strong all season long,” said John Chrisman, CEO of American Dairy Association North East. “From protein for strength to calcium for growing bones, milk, cheese and yogurt give kids the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow every day.”

American Dairy Association North East is extending the exhibit experience online at AmericanDairy.com/ChillOutWithDairy, where visitors can:

  • Browse winter-themed recipes — easy, tasty, family-friendly dishes made with dairy.
  • Explore a virtual farm tour to meet real dairy farmers and see where milk comes from.
  • Download printable coloring pages and activities that reinforce healthy habits and the role dairy plays in growing strong bodies.

Museum guests can also enjoy The Strong’s seasonal features, including winter cardboard villages in the Play Lab, festive displays in the Dollhouses Unveiled exhibit, and march in the daily Goodbye Parade.

“Chill Out with Dairy” at The Strong’s “Winter Wonderland” will open on December 20, 2025 and run through January 4, 2026. For more information, please visit https://www.museumofplay.org/.
