ADA North East recently showcased our dairy education programs to 140 teachers from 47 counties in Pennsylvania and 12 other states during the 2021 Educator’s Ag Institute hosted by Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation. ADA North East’s education programs are available to all teachers – not just to agriculture educators – providing a variety of tools and science-based information to teach students about healthy living and where dairy foods come from.

Local dairy farmers are in the spotlight in ADA North East’s education programs to help educators and students make the connection with those who produce their food. As part of our participation in the Educator’s Ag Institute, dairy farmer Stacey Copenhaver of Talview Farm in Lebanon, Pa., a former teacher, provided real-time, live farm tour to give teachers an inside look at a dairy farm and to highlight ADA North East’s virtual farm tour program.

“ADA North East provides many free resources and curriculum options that can easily be incorporated into educators’ classrooms to learn about dairy cows and modern dairy farming. As a former teacher, I know how invaluable these materials can be.” – Stacey Copenhaver
