Student athlete and dairy promoter Maeve Robarge from Barbland and White Eagle Dairy, Fabius, N.Y., represented all New York dairy farmers by joining ADA North East, New York Liberty women’s basketball team and BronxWorks for a “Fuel Up” event to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day in the Bronx.
ADA North East works with schools to provide nutrition education and increase student access to healthy foods, including milk and dairy products. Our “Fuel Up” partnership with the New York Liberty helps open the door to focus on the success of the “whole child” and student athletes by creating healthy school environments.
More than 40 middle school athletes attended the event which included a basketball clinic and nutrition messaging. Robarge participated on a panel discussion with New York Liberty Assistant Coach Roneeka Hodges and other female athletes.
