American Dairy Association North East has immediately shifted its focus to help our dairy farmers, industry partners, local communities and staff during this time of uncertainty related to the Coronavirus pandemic.
One key area of focus is aggressively promoting our educational goals, one of which is assuring students have access to meals during school closings. We are actively compiling and updating a list of school districts that are providing meals across our six-state region.
Each district is handing food distribution differently, but rest assured, milk and dairy foods are being included as part of the meals. Send us the link of your local school district’s distribution site if it’s not already on the list.
Our youth programs team is reaching out to local anti-hunger organizations to determine ways to assist in addressing the anticipated increased demand for food through food banks.
