ADA North East has helped facilitate the distribution of nearly 20,000 boxes of dairy foods, including a gallon of milk to Pennsylvania families since the end of January, through the Farmers to Families Food Box program through the USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) government-funded grants.
Last week, we also helped distribute 1,276 boxes through the Salvation Army in Syracuse, N.Y., in addition to 600 boxes through the Central New York Food Bank where the Oneida County Sherriff’s department helped deliver the food to area seniors and housing complexes.
Five additional CFAP distributions are planned in Pennsylvania and New York this week. ADA North East will continue to support the distributions as the government funding becomes available in our region.
