Keeping shoppers in the dairy aisle by providing the most positive shopping experience possible is the key goal of ADA North East’s Dairy Aisle Reinvention program, which in turn maintains and grows sales of real dairy milk. Our efforts are paying off! By working with local retailers, we are contributing to a 5.6% national increase in milk sales for 2021 as compared to the same time last year, according to Dairy Management Inc.
Dairy Aisle Reinvention programs incorporate merchandising techniques such as customized signage to showcase the real dairy in the dairy case, features local farm families to make the connection to where the milk comes from, and provides nutrition and product use ideas. Retailers report significant sales growth when these programs are implemented.
Dairy farmers are encouraged to seek out and speak with the dairy case managers if they see a problem, and to let ADA North East staff know of their concerns.
