Special moments in life start with milk which is something dairy farmers have always known! Now ADA North East is reminding consumers – especially millennial parents and Gen Z kids – through a holiday campaign called “Make Milk Moments” in retail stores, schools and on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

From November 22, 2021 – January 3, 2022, consumers can share their favorite milk moment for a chance to win a cash prize and a milk and cookies basket. To enter, post a photo or video of family and friends enjoying milk this holiday season on social media and tag @AmericanDairyNE to be directed to makemilkmoments.com.

To help expand the campaign’s consumer reach, ADA North East provided county dairy princess committees “Make Milk Moments” materials to promote the campaign in their local retail stores. Items included window clings for the dairy case, scripts for 30-second public service announcements that could be used in store or in radio promotions, and a draft news release for local customization.

In addition, ADA North East is also distributing nearly 1,000 “Make Milk Moments” dairy case window clings to retailers. We have also recruited dairy advocates and well-known social media influencers and dietitians, as well as National Football League players, to promote the campaign on their digital channels. Additionally, 50 school nutrition directors were selected based on school district enrollment to receive a gift box with “Make Milk Moments” materials to capture and share their special moments.

Dairy farmers are encouraged to post your own #MakeMilkMoments and invite consumer friends and followers to join in the fun. There will be a separate prize for dairy farmers who participate, and you can send your special milk moments to Kelsea O’Shea at koshea@milk4u.org.
