ADA North East has helped Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) distribute 41,000 gallons of milk in just 10 days, as more and more families face food insecurity during the quarantine.
DFA donated the milk and its processing, and efforts continue this week to get milk to those families in Newark, Del., Baltimore, Md., Highstown, N.J., and Corinth, Brooklyn, Delhi, and East Syracuse, N.Y.
A special drive-through distribution event is set for Wednesday, April 22, at the Destiny Mall in Syracuse, N.Y., with more than 10,000 gallons of milk available for local residents in need. Stay tuned for event highlights later in the week!
