ADA North East President and Chair of National Dairy Council (NDC) Audrey Donahoe joined our staff and National Dairy Council at the School Nutrition Association Annual Conference, to learn about child nutrition trends and program regulations.
ADA North East sponsored moderator Kern Halls, a renowned culinary specialist, who facilitated the NDC educational session, “The Truth About School Meals,” which featured school nutrition directors Warren DeShields from New Jersey and Adam Russo from Northern Virginia. They discussed strategies to reach students, staff, parents and the community to build trust in school meal programs and increase meal participation, which ultimately sells more milk and dairy.
In addition, NDC unveiled its new marketing plan created in partnership with School Nutrition Association, “Made with School Lunch.” The campaign will provide marketing resources to promote the positive truths, benefits and outcomes made possible by school meals.
