As part of ADA North East’s consumer media outreach efforts to share positive dairy stories in the local news, dairy farmer Kerry Adams of Black Brook Farm, Shortsville, N.Y., was recently interviewed by the Canandaigua Daily Messenger about keeping cows cool during the hot weather. Photos from El-Vi Farm in Newark, N.Y., were also included in the article.

The interview occurred as result of ADA North East pitching the story to local media outlets several weeks ago. Media continues to be interested in how farmers are caring for their cattle during this challenging summer weather.

Previous New York dairy farmers who were interviewed about keeping cows cool include Kelly Reynolds of Reyncrest Farm, Corfu; Hal Adams of Black Brook Farm, Shortsville; Kelly O’Hara and Garret Miller of Oakwood Dairy, Auburn; and Paul Fouts of Fouts Farms, Groton.
