As part of ADA North East’s National Dairy Month digital campaign with Price Chopper/Market 32, the retailer featured a Facebook Live interview with New York dairy farmer Lisa Porter of Porterdale Farms in Adams Center.
Our health professional team is also providing social media content for the retailer’s Twitter page to post ’30 Tweets for 30 Days’ during June. The daily tweets highlight the nutrition benefits of milk and dairy products, and help shoppers make connections with the farmers like Porter that produce milk.
ADA North East has a long relationship with Price Chopper, an avid supporter of dairy and many of our programs. For instance, in the past five years it has taken part in efforts to encourage monetary donations earmarked to get milk to food banks — a program that has generated nearly $150,000 in donations, one-third of which has been a direct donation from the chain. The Fill a Glass with Hope® campaign is going strong this month during National Dairy Month.
Did you know one gallon of milk is now produced with fewer resources like land and water, than it was in the past? America’s dairy farmers are committed to feeding their communities while taking care of the planet. ???? #NationalDairyMonth #UndeniablyDairy pic.twitter.com/KWGc5mHK7J
