The Bitler family of Vista Grande Farms, Fleetwood, Pa., and the Gehringer family of Four Springs Farms, Kutztown, Pa., can now be seen in the dairy case at 18 Acme stores in southeastern Pennsylvania. As part of American Dairy Association North East’s “Farm to Tableâ€_x009d_ campaign that helps consumers connect with where their milk comes from, the families are featured in signage throughout the dairy aisle. Sixteen additional Acme stores will also receive the signage that also features “Choose PA Dairy,â€_x009d_ a campaign that reminds shoppers they’re buying locally produced milk.
The Farm to Table campaign is part of ADA North East’s Dairy Aisle Reinvention (DAR) program — and more than 455 stores across the region feature different farm families. Through DAR, we can incorporate merchandising techniques such customized signage to highlight the real dairy in the dairy case and provides nutrition and product use ideas — all tactics to help shoppers have a positive experience when in the dairy aisle. Retailers report significant sales growth after program implementation.
