Objectives:
After the session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the prevalence of lactose intolerance across diverse populations including African Americans, Latinx and Asian Americans.
- Debunk three common myths surrounding lactose intolerance and dairy avoidance.
- Discuss dairy’s role in the diet for effective management of lactose intolerance symptoms; as well as providing practical lactose intolerance management tips and techniques that are culturally relevant.
