Dairy Advocates Virtual Culinary Experience – Cheese and Chocolate: An Unlikely Pairing!
Thursday, November 4th, 6:30 -8:30 p.m.
Your cheese & chocolate kits are shipping today n(November 1)! Please expect their arrival this Wednesday. You should have received a tracking email from Cheese Grotto to double check your delivery window. Please check your spam or promotions folder in the event you cannot find it in your inbox!
Please refrigerate the cheeses upon arrival but bring to room temperature one hour before the event starts. Ice packs can melt via transit and that is completely fine, safe to eat, and the quality has not been compromised. There is a card in the package that speaks to this as well. Specialty cheese is resilient, safe, and hardy, and Cheese Grotto often stores cheese at room temperature like the French do for days at a time.
Co-hosts, Jessica Sennet, founder of Cheese Grotto and virtual culinary teacher, and Chef Jason Smith, Food Network star (back by popular demand!) will be taking us on a virtual journey of taste, aroma, and texture as we enjoy a collective love of cheese and chocolate! Attendees will receive the cheese and chocolate in the mail for this tasting event.
We will be bringing you three different cheeses from two artisan cheesemakers based in New York:
Cheesemaker Four Fat Fowl—based in Stephentown, NY—brings 30 years of combined experience into their cheesemaking. Their signature St. Stephen triple crème has ranked among the top cheeses in the New York State Fair year after year.
Argyle Cheese Farmer—based in Hudson Falls, NY—has been producing artisan cheeses for the past 16 years. They produce more than 12 different artisan cheeses to delight your palate, and have been awarded at the New York State Fair for both their yogurts and cheeses.
