Schools around the country are closing due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. This means much more than missing lessons and time with friends. For millions of kids, school is where they get breakfast and lunch every day at a free or reduced price. Without school meals, millions of children wouldn’t know where to get their next meal.
As schools continue to close, many are opening temporary school meal locations for their district’s children. Most of these offerings include a grab-and-go program outside of the school building.
Every district is handling this crisis differently, so check with your local school district for the specifics of their school meal program during their Coronavirus-related closure.
The list below will continue to be updated as more school districts in the North East publish their school meal locations and hours. Please share this information with people in your community.
