More than 200 fourth through sixth grade students from the Francis Hopkinson School in Philadelphia, Pa., participated in a virtual pep rally hosted by ADA North East upon receiving a $5,000 Fuel Up to Play 60 Hometown Grant. The school plans to use the funds to purchase a refrigerator and insulated bags to keep milk and dairy foods cold for its Breakfast in the Classroom program.

Philadelphia Eagles player Anthony Harris, two Eagles cheerleaders and mascot Swoop participated in the event. The presentation received a shout out during the Eagles’ game against the New York Jets on KYW-TV, and was featured in the Philadelphia Tribune, PHL17, and WCAU-TV.

ADA North East works with Fuel Up to Play 60 to identify schools within the region that participate in the program and are in need of supplies to support their school nutrition programs.
