English Gardner, U.S. Olympic gold medalist sprinter is part of Team Milk, the MilkPEP (Milk Processor Education Program) campaign that includes U.S. Olympians, Paralympians and hopefuls who are fueled by milk. Through Milk Life Campaign’s sponsorship of Team USA, milk companies and dairy councils like ADA North East are able to support these athletes as they train to earn a spot.
With the postponement Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 because of COVID-19, English is still supporting Team Milk and offering video tips to support dairy farmers and student athletes during quarantine.
Gardner even joined forces with Abbey Copenhaver, dairy farmer, registered dietitian and athlete from Stanley, N.Y., to share some tricks and techniques of her trade that high school students can use in their own track and field training.
Gardner also shared a special message of gratitude with dairy farmers.
